Default all brute forace and King quad 700 owners......which one to get

hi my friend now looking into a king quad or a brute force and he wanted me to post a few questions for him. If u could answer them that would be great. Since the KQ and BF are relentively new there isn't much info on how they preform. any, which quad is better in mud and on techincal slow terrain. which provides and better ride. also my friend wants something that can actually get into to high speed say 50's within a resonable amount of time, so which is more sporty. What are the top speeds. Does the brute force have more power of the king quad because of its diplacement advantage. Also is EFI the way to go or is there no big difference. Which is a better overall value. Any answer would be great, thanx.

Gonna be dang tough to beat the Brute Force for sheer power and speed. I have ridden one, and it has all kinds of power. It will hit the 50mph range very quickly. Good luck to your friend.

The best rock rider I know has a BF and he likes it. I had problems on the boulders with my 02 P650, but it's SRA and also he's a better gully rider.

He has ridden it in fast water up to the racks for about an hour with no problems. (Water was no problem for my P650 either; easy way to clean mud too)

I ride above timberline without any carb problems or adjustments on the P650 (6,000 - 12,000 ft elevation). Don't need EFI and carbs are easier to work on, but haven't had to touch mine since they were set up along with the clutching by the dealer for high altitude. The BF ought to perform at least as well if set up right.

Don't know anything about the KQ

Hey all, i am new to the forum scene, facing a birthday here on the 28(born sept.28/55), do the math. I have a 03/kawi 650 prairie and a 04/700 kawi prairie. Both very fun machines.
700 has ITP 26" mudlites, dynatex cdi module, nyroc air snorkel
650 has ITP 26" mudlites, nyroc air snorkel
My wife and I both ride, and love to get outdoors in the mud, ha ha. We considered a 750, but a little to much for the pocket book right now.

IF YOUR FRIEND WANTS THE BEST ATV FOR THE MONEY BUY THE KING, HE WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. I HAVE RODE BOTH. THE KING HANDLES BETTER, THE RIDE QUALITY IS NOT MUCH DIFFERENT. BF IS MUCH EASIER TO TIP OVER ON OFF CAMBER HILLS. THE POWER DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 2 IS SLIGHTLY NOTICEABLE (BF IS FASTER ON TAKE OFF-NOT MUCH DIFFERNT ON TOP END). NOT MUCH DIFFERENCE IN THE EFI OR CARB ONLY WHEN STARTING( EFI NEEDS NO CHOKE-VERY EASY TO START IN THE COLD). THE KING IS LIKE A CADILAC IN THE WOODS AND ON TRAILS. THEY BOTH HAVE PLENTY OFF POWER, BUT IF YOUR FRIEND WANTS TO ONLY GO FAST IN A STRAIGHT LINE THEN THE BF IS FOR HIM. IF HE WANTS TO GO FAST IN A STAIGHT LINE AND AROUND CORNERS THE KING IS THE ANSWER. DON'T KNOW TOP SPEEDS OF EITHER BUT HAVE HAD MY KING TO 67MPH AND HAD MORE THROTTLE (RAN OUT OF ROAD).

raven1, did you ride the Brute with the stock tires? it becomes a whole different animal when you widen the stance with some C series rims and ATR tires. I don't feel tippy at all on off-camber stuff now, but I sure did with the Dunflops on it.

first i dont know how u can say the brute will tip over very easily, i think the king has irs as well. and fast in a straight line and corners ? . i have my brute on the softtest shock setting all the away around and i can still slide it, wheelie it, fast trail ride, and still slow speed it and have feel like a caddy. and the efi thing is overated. if u cant hit the choke to start it u r to damn lazy to begin with. dont get me wrong both quads are great machines. i still have my old rubicon and that is a great machine they all just do things a little differently.

This is a loaded question and the only person to answer this will be your buddy.
For the most part all big bore quads are good. Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Polaris have had/ will have or has some issues with their bikes. They all breakdown!!

Each person WILL and does think their quad is the best for their own reasons. This is what I based my purchases on:
1) Price
2) Features/Make/Model
3) Dealer

Anyway you look at it, these machines are blast and work hard all for the cost of compact car!!

The only advice I can offer surrounds one's preference for an IRS vs SRA machine. After this choice the hard work is over because if another person thinks your quad sucks, tell them to pound sand, because why should they care what you own.

So true SaskKawiGuy:

Dealer: to say that all dealers are not created equal?
Price : maybe all dealers do not give fair deals
Features/Make/Model : in this day and age, give me a break, I want to own 1 of each make and model, hell yes!

They are all good machines that can do alot of things, and oh yes I so agree, they do break down. We are all allowed the privilege of making a choice, what we buy, and ride( bank account full of course). I invite anybody to ride with me, regardless of what machine they ride

Ride on, and do it in the MUD
