prairie 650 loud whining noise
Just bought a used 2003 650 with 1200 miles on it. It runs great but at about 5mph an annoying loud whine starts in the front end and continues at all speeds whether under throttle or letting off the gas. I have been told that it could be the bearing that the KEBC shoes press against in the drive pulley. Doesn't do it in reverse or coasting in neutral. Anyone had this problem or have any other ideas.

Valholler.....get used to it.It's most likely the normal whine these things make. It's from them having straight cut gears vs helical gears. It's really pronounced under a load I bet. After a while it will be drowned out by your buddies whines of them getting left behind It took a while for me and I am still not completely used to it and thats after 1-1/2 years and 1200 miles!
