I have noticed that my 4wd slips out and goes to 2wd. I select 2wd again, drive a bit and push 4wd and it engages only to pop out again? Sometimes it will stay engaged for a few minutes, and sometimes it will slip out in a few seconds? What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

 

i had same problem on mine sometimes and my buddy too on his 700 prairie.he thinks you need to engage 4 wheel drive about ten feet before you actually need it.so it can engage.we seem to have the problem your talking about when we get STUCK in 2 wheel THEN put it in 4 wheel .but NOT .when we select 4 wheel drive BEFORE we get stuck.how bought u ?

 

I will engage mine into 4wd well before the mud hole, then, it slips back to 2wd with the switch still in 4wd. So I push the switch into 2wd to reset it and drive a bit and push the 4wd switch and it usually engages back to 4wd for a short time, then disengages to 2wd?
