Clutch mods and experimentation are common in the sled (snowmobile) world. That's why you see much of this clutch work coming out of Canada and the northern States.
Thanks to KOD for putting it out again for all to see and for the upcoming pictorial on his site.

You are welcome NovaKaw650.

Thanks for the pics comment Kodiac1. I hope to have some more pictures up tonight showing the movable sheave cut better.

Its late, about 1:30 am. I just got in from testing an entire primary clutch assymbly loaned to me by Kevin Johnston. I have found that the ticking is in my movable sheave. There is no way the machine shop could have caused it. Actually its less than before but still there after putting it back together. I guess after 1902 miles it just getting a little worn.

I also found out "after careful measurments" that the sheave was cut .100" and the cover plate was cut roughly .060" like it should be. I have pictures of the measurements in my clutch mod photos along with a lot more new photos of the clutch. I thought it was an aweful lot when he started cutting the sheave. Either his stop point moved some or he measured wrong. Reguardless, Im still very satisfied with this mod and will continue to run it without any further worry about balance or anything else.

Look for the new pictures around 2 am if you are up and read this.
