650 Swingarm Bearings.....my findings
Well I just did the swingarm bearing check today.I have almost 1300 miles and am a moderate to light mudder,,,,if there is such a thing Lets just say I am the guy that usually leads and finds out the hole is too deep to go thru.
Anyway my Bearings were bascially dry. There was no evidence of dirt having gotten into the arm via the boot.It was as clean as new.I guess I caught mine soon enough to just clean and service them.
My point is I think these things were hardly packed at all when new.I am not sure that people should not just do this early....real early to head off a problem.
I talked to another guy on here some time ago and he stated they took a buddies 700 apart when new and they were very lightly greased..This IMO is something that Prairie owners might want to address before a certain mileage or even if you don't ride in mud much.....

Me either....I am definitely a PM kinda guy.....when I drive 6-7 hours for a two day ride and burn a vacation day I don't want to have any problems that I could have prevented.I am glad I did it!.They needed greased for sure.
One thing I did was leave the wheels on when I removed it,,,,,,did make it easier.I ended up taking them off for the installation.Another set of hands would have been nice but all is well now.
