Default p700 break in

Just got my p700 yesterday. I love it and think i got a good price 6100 brand new 04 model.

Thanks for all your help, it made my decision to buy very easy.

What do you think of break in?

The Manual states 1/2 throttle for first 10 hrs.

Is this what you all recomend?

Anything else I should do?

Thanks

Default p700 break in

You can go by the manual or run it hard. I ran mine hard from day one and never had any problems. How does Nascar or NHRA break in a engine? I currently have 1300 miles on my 04 P700. I do recommend the 10 hr oil changes, engine, front and rear diff. I guess I need someone to explain the purpose of running it easy for the first 10 hours? If you have proper lubrication, cooling and it was put together right, I do not think you should have a problem. Besides, it's under warranty! I would like someone to tell me the reasons why you should take it easly. Just so I understand.
