Default Prairie 650 Oil Filter

Does anyone know if the Prairie 650 oil filter and the oil filter on the Artic Cat 650 are the same? I believe that Artic Cat buys their V-twin engine from Kawasaki. I want to change the oil before I go hunting next month, and I don't have a Kawasaki dealer in my town, but do have an Artic Cat dealer. Thanks.

Tried to search for that post of 01-18-04, says that the date isn't correct. Can you search older than 90 days?

The Wal Marts here carry the filter believe it or not.The Kaw filter is approx $12-$14 here depending on how bad the dealer wants to nail you.The fram filter is $4.00.

Howdy Gang,
I have found this site and it really will surprise you what filters interchange. For example the 650-750 Kawasakis and the 660 Yamaha use the same filter. I use the Wal-Mart brand which costs $2. I use the longer one which gives a little more oil capacity. Have a goodun!!
