Default Cleaning drive pulley and clutch.

What would be a good cleaner to get rid of the dust from the old belt and stuff inside the belt cover.I am thinking a spray can of brake cleaner or parts cleaner but I'm not sure how it would affect any of the components, if at all. Have any of you tried something to clean the parts and if so, what did you use?

Default Cleaning drive pulley and clutch.

I JUST BLOW IT OUT WITH AN AIRGUN/HOSE EACH TIME I HAVE THE COVER OFF.

Blow out the dust with compressed air. Clean the clutch faces with brake cleaner. Use some fairly coarse emery cloth to take the glaze off the sides of the belt. Done.
