Here's my take. I've ridden both, the 700 seems to be just fine with stock tires, the 750 needs to have wider offset wheels to make it as stable as the 700. The 750 has faster pickup, but isn't really much faster top end. I like IRS suspention and with a Dynatek CDI box in the 750 it really gets up and goes and of the hole. The front end is way too light on the 750, I didn't notice it coming up on the 700 at all. (maybe because my 750 has so much more hole shot because of the CDI box). So an unmodified Brute will have trouble keeping up with an unmodified Prairie on fast trails, but if you modify the Brute, it will out perform the stock Prairie. I did not get to ride a modified Prairie so I can't comment on how much better they get with the mods.

thanks for the info... i am not looking to be drag racing i just want something to ride and be able to keep up with the guys here at the shop. we sell honda, kawasaki, and yamaha and some of the guys in the shop dont like the belts on the kaws, they think a rincon is the best thing to be on but i heard they are weak for a 650cc machine. i personally like the kaw but also worried about belt issues. any thoughts would be great!! THANKS

I have a 700 prarie with 3 degrees cam timing and hole shot mod big gun and this thing is making 59.9 horse power on the dyno. I have no problems with belt yet 3 yr warranty anyway.I would rather replace the odd belt than to have a rincon with 20 horsepower!

i think the p700 is in order from what people say it sounds like the best choice, allthough one of the guys here at the shop says the grizzly is better than the prarie. any thoughts on that? i am sorry to keep asking ?'s but i want my 7000 purchase to be the right one! My major goal is to trail ride with the guys on the weekends with my wife on the back, not mudhole it and to hunt ocasionally. let me know what u all think! THANKS AGAIN!

that being the case I would go with the Polaris 700 EFI, it is smooth as heck and you can ride double in comfort without the front end coming up. I picked one up for $7300 in camo, it would have been $6800 without. I only switched because I wanted a faster bike (I totaled the EFI).
