im looking into buying a new quad very soon and i thought i had my mind set up on an 04 foreman 450 S....but i was wrong lol i was reading the new december 04 issue of ATV sport and they had a few sport/ute quads in there talking about them. And one was the P700. WEll when i saw that it got me thinking...so i went on here and read the posts on the P700/650 and they all seem good. So then i went to the main kawasaki website and looked at it and looked even better lol. See the main thing is is that i want a fast-sport like quad but i want to be able to go through mud and stuf .so how would the 05 P700 be? could everyone tell me all opinions and pros and cons and stuff about it?? thanxs0, Jimmy

i bought an 05 team green prairie about a month ago. it is an incredible machine to say the very least. the 4x4 prowess of the prairie is awsome, just pull the diff lock in and hold on, it will take you there. powerslide, haul a$$ on the trails, just a thrill ride. i would buy one again in a second. pete

i also bought a 05 700 team green edition about 4 months ago and i love it, i have had no problems whatsoever and it is an all around great wheeler, as far as the 450 foreman it is a good four wheeler too and very durable but if this helps you at all i traded my foreman in for my prairie and would do it again in a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!! the prairie is way funner to ride .........get the prairie!!!!!!!!!!!

yea thats why i just changed my profile lol i was against the foreman s alittle b/c of the no locker, really low ground clearance, and the low power (top/mid range ) so im thinkin about the prarie cause of the 697cc V-Twin lol , locker and decent ground clearance, and also ive heard that it has good low end mid range and top end grunt/power/torque.

.... Hmm, I thought they canned the Prairie for 05, sticking us with the Brute Force 750 and 650. I'm glad the Prairie is still with us- it's a real carnival ride!!!!

I have an '04 kawa prairie700 and it is AWESOME!!! I love the machine. I have a 2" lift with 26" TIP 589's and Vision polished aluminum rims, 2500lb warn winch and cargo box on the back. It has never let me down and I go in some nasty mud at our deer lease. As far as kawa doing away with the 700 prairie, I talked to my sales friend the other day when I put my bike in for service. He told me that in 2006 kawa was dropping the 700 prairie, but keeping the 650 BF and making the 750BF to an 800BF. He also said there is in the works for a 500 prairie v-twin. They just came back from the kawa show, so he got some very good information. As far as truth, we will have to wait and see. If you buy the kawa700 prairie, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Have fun and be safe. Let us know what you get.

If you buy the 700, you will not be disappointed. I got an '04 700 that I bought in April '04. I have 3600km(170 hr) on it and have loved every minute of seat time. Not only will it leave most other bikes behind for fun, you are the bike wenching out the bottom feeders that can't make it. Even with my wife and I on the 700, it has a comfortable ride on woods trails or logging roads. The only thing I do faithfully is keep the rad clean, I found it gets dirty and will overheat quicker than other models. But that only takes a minute to do when it is wash time. Good luck with your choice, buy the Kawi.

Well, let me put it this way. I have owned a total of 3 of the big V-Twins, 2 Prairies(650&700), and 1 V-Force. All incredible bikes. I would do it again..................................
Buy the P-700 you will NOT be disappointed.
BTW-- I, too, came off a 450-S Foreman.......thre IS no comparison, when talking of handling, speed, and general performance. I couldn't go back to a Foreman, no way..............................

That's why my 700 is nickname happy I can not even think of selling my 700 for a BF; so if BF is worth it I guess I'll have 3 quads to drive. I been on the Prairies since 1998 and since then I have over 50,000km of seat time on em, (KVf400 24,000km, KVF650 21,000km KVF700 6000km)
