Another new Brute force Problem - help please
#1
I just picked my Brute Force up from having the needle installed and the a-arm fixed but now the engine braking noise that it makes after you shut off the bike won't stop. it just keeps making the noise about every 5 seconds. I had to pull the fuse to make it stop. any ideas on this one? ANYONE? I think this is the same engine braking stuff that's on the Prairie isn't it?

Take the belt cover off and check to see if it might have been "parkrd" wrong, then follow the proper way to set it.. Maybe it will work right... Dealers DO make mistakes, but are hard to get to admit it...

I'm wondering if you have any other electrial components that are hooked up to your bike directly to your battery. I had my Fan override grounded out on my 650 and it made the KBEC to keep running after it was shut off but it wasn't 5 seconds appart. Kind weird how it is 5 seconds a part, I can see a continuos noise but 5 seconds appart? Sounds like it's not getting the KBEC in the propper spot when you shut it off and it continues to try. Do you hear it move the KBEC when you first shut it off? does the noise change after the first noise you hear when you shut it off? Maybe check to see if there's a drain on you battery when the machine is off. Any weird noises when the engine off but key on?

yeah, it sounds normal but then it just keeps doing the last little spurt of the motor every 5 seconds. dealer is trying the "main brain" module next. I have a winch direct to the battery but it works fine, properly grounded.

I found one other thread about it

rode it this weekend with the fuse out, it's just like a Polaris, if you bump the throttle while descending it will keep the engine engaged. at some point in time though, the indicator started flashing from 2wd to 4wd so I guess it has yet another problem.
