Default DG3 or HL ICM for B.F.

The HL ICM showed 6 rwhp on the dyno on a stock B.F.

Is the DG3 about the same?

Anyone know which one helps the upper powerband more?

Also...what is this Unlimiter DG has coming?

True, but it doesn't work on the B.F.

I have one in mine. its the same Dynatek part number for the 650, 700 and 750. works GREAT! and it also gets rid of the 100 hour belt trip light and the reverse rev limiter.

You are one of the VERY FEW lucky ones. The Dyna will not work w/ my B.F. All it does is pop and miss. I am also jetted so I know my quad isn't lean.

That's to bad about your BF not working with the Dyna as I have seen 4 BF's with the Dyna with no problem at all. If you are stuck on a module here is another one you can try this is their email.

Their are NUMEROUS reports of B.F. owners who cannot get the Dyna to work.

Dyna claims it's the Jetting.

I have a DynoJet kit installed and I'm jetted for an exhaust. Any change made in Jetting will not affect the missing or popping.

The Dyna does have some nice features and I can feel a power gan w/ it.... however I can't live w/ the miss.
Sometimes the miss is very small and you don't notice it. Other times the miss gets so bad that the B.F. feels like it's running on 1 cyl.

Low end and midrange is what I mainly use. I just ordered a DG5 and I don't think the Dyna will be able to match it's power. The DG5 was tested for 7.2 rwhp on a stock B.F. No jetting changes required as well.

now that you mention it the Dyna CDI box did amplify the stumbling problem I have due to the wrong needle being in the front carb. BTW I just had a new needle put in this weekend but it still stumbles. I put my stock CDI box back in it and it still stumbles. I think my dealer just said they put it in lol. after the bike warms up it does it a lot less with either CDI box, but I can see how you might say the Dyna makes it pop and miss, not to where it isn't ride-able though, and it already had the miss with the stock CDI. So I would be interested in hearing if you get the popping out with the DG5, hell, I'm made of money lol I'll but another one.

When I was stock w/ the wrong needle I had a VERY minor miss. Nothing bad at all. When I added the Dyna it did indeed get worse.

This leads you to believe it's a Jetting problem due to it being lean.

Well after Installing the DynoJet kit and jetting it for my HMF slip on,the Dyna missed just as bad.

I even tweaked the needles to make to richer than DynoJet recommends for an exhaust and it still missed.. BAD!

Several guys have jetted them as rich as the DynoJet kit will go and the miss is still their. One guy took his carbs off like 13 times in 3 days tweaking the DynoJet kit to try to get the Miss out w/ the Dyna. He never got it out and sent the Dyna back. He now has the HL ICM and the miss is gone.

I like my CDI so far, no problems to speak of.
