Default P 700 Engine brake

I know how dangerous the engine braking is on shinny ice. LOL been there! a Polaris Scrammy knows too exept we were travelling same direction about 40 feet apart and we managed to hit. We never knew there was a gully inbetween us.

Default P 700 Engine brake

Hey Grownmancrying, I had the same situation with my "04" p700.. At Idle it would still continue to pull. I had no flashing lights though. When I pulled the primary cover I found that the bearing (that the fingers of the actuators ride on) had worked itself out of the clutch basket and was causing the clutch to remain engaged. I pushed the bearing back into the basket until it felt flush and peened the edges of the bearing housing eight- equally- spaced- times. If it happens again I'll remove the bearing completely from the basket and lock-tite it back into place.. I saw no evidence of lock-tite or of any other bonding agent on the bearing. Must just be a press fit.. O/S housing? undersize bearing? Good Luck!!!

Default P 700 Engine brake

The darn thing just "snapped out of it" and everything works fine now.

Maybe I will still clean the engine brake motor according to Kiss of Death and Nyroc's books of knowledge.

Speaking of Nyroc, is he still a Kawasaki owner, or did he buy th KQ?
