p700/warn winch
Well I have installed my winch and I am working on wiring it up. Could you please help me in deciding where to put the solenoid?
Right now I’m thinking about mounting it under the seat and use wire ties to strap it to the frame. The solenoid would face the ground. It seems as though there is enough room from the exhaust pipes and in my opinion I think this is the cleanest place for it. My concerns are that I can't drill into the frame so it will only be supported by the wire ties.
Do you think this will be a good spot and good method to mount it?
Any other tips on winches would be helpful..
Thanks

GOODGUY,
I mounted winch connector under the seat on frame cross tube , just under the battery using
1 1/4 clamps. Tightened clamps on cross tube then used the threaded part of the u bolts as studs
to mount the connector. I only used 2 of the 4 connector mounting holes but seems to hold nice and tight with locknuts. Mounting here also made easy to wire connector and stays fairly clean up nice and high. You can get these clamps at any hareware store, I think I saw them at walmart too.
I dont have a picture as im not very good with computers but will try to answer any questions
GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN
