A two quad length win? a four quad length win? I'm not sure, but I do know that it would be significant. No, I haven't actually dragged a BF and a KQ, nor do I care which is faster. Hell, I own a KQ! But the thread topic begged the question and like it or not MANY people DO care which is faster. The magazines cover it, people always ask, so in my opinion that makes it important. I'm just stating facts, the BF will SMOKE a KQ in a drag, PERIOD. That's not the KQ's strong point, it is the BF's strongest point. I've had significant seat time on both now, I think I'm qualified to answer the question.

Why do KQ owners get so defensive about it? Some even deny it. The KQ has a low end flaw that drops it from contension in drags. The BF has massive low end power. It's simply no contest, accept it. They're both awesome quads, but the thread topic asked a specific question, and I answered it truthfully.

I've mud raced, pulled , drag raced against a stock Brute Force and they smoke me every time!!!! I think (ChaosInMt) is full of smoke, and for 47yrs old he can't spell either. I think he's about 15yrs old and pulling our leg. My cousin put the new DG5 on the Brute and raced his 650 ( big gun exhaust, penland cams, flywheel keyed, black spring, snorkle,DG5, jet kit, and 700 belt) and the Brute still waxes it by 5 quad lengths in a 300' race. You can give the 650 a 25' head start and the Brute will catch it and pass it.
As far as the mud is concerned the Brute has way more ground clearance over the 650. I've got video of the events and the Brute Force comes out on top. And by the way I've got 2 SECOND place trophies to show for it!

I just got back for drag races in Nova Scotia this weekend. No KQ there but I saw prairies and Brutes go at it. I was very impressed with brute, it could be made very fast with some mods.

The winner in every class but the outlaw class was a modded 700 priarie. The green monster it is called.

We drove 7 hours to race, but cracked a sheeve in pratice and didn't even get to race once. I wanted to see if I had anything for the green monster and ran almost the same times in pratice.

Bombman on this forum lost to a brute in the stock class and beat the brute in the improved.

Shotgun,
I am very sure that with Ray driving my quad he could have beaten the Green Monster when I was out there a few weeks ago. To bad about your machine, what was the dyno results on your quad? To bad we were not out there at the same time.

I also attended a drag race, mud run and sled pull this last weekend here in Calgary. I entered in the 4x4 class, stock class, modified class, and super modified classes, I also entered into the sled pull. I came first in the 4x4, 1st in stock, 1st in modified, 3rd in super modified. Here are the times I ran for the drag race it was on pavement at 300 ft. 2nd at the sled pull.

4x4 class 5.3 seconds
stock class 5.35 seconds
modified 5.12 seconds with 1 stage of Nos
super modified 4.79 seconds with 2 stage of Nos
2nd almost full pull
1st to a stock 650 Bomb in the sled pull
