I'm unsure which side of the coil to hook the pulse wire to. I don't want to hook it up wrong, so help me out, guys!

if a coil is like a capastor then it dosnt matter where the wires go. i dont know much about D\C but if its about A\C i'm pretty good!

It matters on DC. My instructions aren't clear enough to know which one to put it on.

For all automotive aftermarket tachs the signal wire goes to the NEGATIVE side of the Coil. Unless you run a MSD box or a HEI distributor. (Pretty sure you don't have either on your quad) I don't see why a quad should be any different. Hope this helps

I did remember that, also, just wanted confirmation form someone that had the same tach as I do. It is a digital tach, never hooked one of them up.

I don't know how much this helps but I put one on a KFX400 and it was wired on the neg terminal. The instructions stated positive but that does not work.

It's been so long since I did my install... I think it goes on the inside terminal on the Prairies ( + or - ??? )
