The Mudrunners are really a great tire. I had a set on my P650, check my "Gallery" as I believe there is a pic of me & the P650 at Engineer Pass in Colorado. In the pic are a set of 27" Mudrunners & ITP Type 4 wheels w/a High-lifter 2" Lift kit installed, front progressive springs.
The Mudrunners are a great all-purpose tire & wear long on tire tread life.
The only downside is they are a bit heavy & if you go with a 27" Tire you will lose some overall power & the gearing will be affected a little as well. I had a set of the Mudrunners 26"ers on my Cat 650 & felt the 26 inch tire was better for me vs the 27" tire.
Presently I am using the ITP Mudlite 26" tires, weight difference between the MR's & ML's is noticeable. Plus the MR's are not 6-ply if that matters to you. With that said, I never had any Tire problems with the 4-ply Mudrunners & I had them for over 2 years of hard riding on my Prairie 650's.
The ITP tires were only available as a tire/wheel package when I ordered my ITP Black Type 4 wheels & I opt for an set of the 26x9x12 Fronts & 26x10x12 Rear Mudlites.

I run the 25" mudrunners and they are my tire of choice if you only have one set of rims. groundclearance and snow is not good but ok. I think the 26 would be better in the snow but I only run 28 589's in the winter. I also have around 15,000km on my mudrunners.

BFB... just to clairify... unless they changed them, in the last year or so, the 25" are 4 ply, & the 26" & bigger are 6 ply ( at least the 26"er's that I ran for a year & a half, before I sold them to a buddy that couldn't afford "new" tires & really wanted a set of Mud Runners, were 6 plys )
