How fast would a Kawasaki Bayou 300 4x4 with a FST 330 Big Bore kit on it go?

 

it would be quite noticeable. All this usually comes as a package that includes cams and springs and such. I am fairly certain that a deal like this exists, I read a Dirt Wheels article I think around '99 or so when they did these kits on a Mojave and Lakota- seeing that the Bayou and Lakota use the same engine. Depending what you're looking for ya might wanna start with a higher compression piston and a cam....

 

What would we be talking top speed? I have seen this done to a Lakota before so I'm sure it would work since they're the same motor.

 

.. Don't know about top speed, what with the added weight of the 4x4 componentry, but it would sure be a blast. What are you trying to gun down?

 

I just want to make it faster. I only paid $1000 for it and its in very good condition.

 

Well they dont really make to many aftermarket parts for the bayou so if you want to really gain speed and make it faster than the big bore would be the thing to get, and an airfilter. Being a heavy quad and utility it won't be as fast as the lakota even though they have the same motors but it will defintly beat a stock bayou and it will be a good amount faster. I'm not sure on the top speed with the big bore kit in but she be a lot faster.

 

you should get ahold of four stroke tech...i think they have bigbores made for the bayou...when micky still had the site i am pretty sure everytime i looked for a mojave i clicked on bayou instead...lol
