You guys east of Nevada have no idea how good you have it. California has a lot of wealthy people and a lot of cool places to ride (Glamis, Dumont, Pismo, Rasor, Ocotillo Wells). For this reason, dealers are used to getting rediculous amounts for their machines. One of our biggest dealers, Chapparal Motorsports in San Bernardino, charges $10,035 for a Sportsman 700 and $8,500 for a Predator. Those are sticker prices before tax. I went to a smaller dealership and paid $6,749 OTD for my V. Ironically, I felt I got off easy. I know, you guys are probably laughing, but that's the reality here. If Doctorturbo gets his ride for $6,300 OTD, he will have gotten a "smokin" deal in California.

I am going to buy a new V force as soon as my sandrail sells so I have been doing a lot of research and it seems like $5500-5800 OTD is the "good" deal. A guy in Vegas quoted me $6100 plus tax and a guy in St. George quoted me $5800 OTD. So its off to Utah I go!

We just sold an 04 for $5800. We had it for a long time though. We usually sell ours around 6 grand to 6100. We are sold out now. You'll love the V-Force when you get it. Awesome machine. Suspension isn't all that great but you can update that. Try ebay, sometimes dealers advertise special deals they got for the V-Forces. You might have drive aways to pick it up but you might save some money on it. Good luck. HOPE YOU GET THE V-BEAST!!

First I want to thank everyone that replied to this thread. Some of your comments REALLY helped me. Thanks again!!!!

And now I'm over it. I'm going to call the place that offered me the V for "under" $6,300 and really see what "under" really means? I'm then going to lock them into this price and go pick it up this weekend.

I heard the GREEN ones come with better cams so that's what I'm going to go with.

Tell me how your accountant plans on making a sport quad tax deductible, I would sure like to know.
I own a ranch so I can write things like this off. (Check the trees (real fast). Turn on the pump (real fast)......ect...)

Thanks for the offer OC but I'm going to buy a brand spanking new quad. I want to be the first person to put the first speck of mud on it!!

Sounds like the V will fit the bill perfectly. $6300 sounds pretty good. Once you buy it and start to enjoy it you won't care how much you might have saved searching elsewhere.
I think you will be right about this!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to try to get them to sell me a big tank for this thing while I'm there. 50 or 60 miles just don't cut it for me. Anybody know how much these big tanks cost?

I'd love to get one of the IMS tanks but they are expensive! I fill up the beast everytime I come back to the truck so I have never ran out of gas, not yet anyways, ahha.
