Default Brute Force 650

Alright,
I was just on Kawi's site and saw 0% til 2006 and I really like that idea. I'm thinking about trading my 2002 P650 in and getting a BF650. From my understanding its the same quad with new plastics? I love my P650 and am plenty happy with the engine size. Anyone have any trade in prices for a P650 w/ 1k miles? thanks guys.

Yea, Brute Force IS a Prairie with different plastics. We've been sellin a lot of them. People love the looks of them. You could probably get 3500 to 4000 bucks out of yer 650 Prairie. Problem is that they lowered the price of the Prairie 650 so I know you wont get as much as you want out of the Prairie. Nice to see they lowered the price of the Brute Force though. I wouldn't mind gettin a Brute Force 650. I love the looks. Plus you got the proven toughness. I didn't even know they were makin a 650 BF till we got one in a crate at our dealership. SURPRISE!!

I looked up my bike on KBB's website under motorcycles. The dealership offered me allmost exactly what the trade in value showed, they also said any mods I did had no bearing on what they would give for it, so if you have anything you put on (aluminum CV guards, rear storage box) i suggest removing it and keep or sell it to someone else. Otherwise your giving it to them.

Good to hear on the mods. I have the alum cv guards on mine and also the EPI black spring. Will the spring still work on the BF650? I know the dealership has no idea about tha damn thing cause when I asked how much for it they were clueless. Thanks guys. I"m really hoping I get this now.

Yeah, I've been giving a hard look at the BF 650. Always wanted an ATV...ever since I was a kid. Finally going to make the big purchase w/i the next 3-6 months or so. I actually took the wife by the dealership today (while out Christmas shopping) to check them out. I've heard and read alot of good things about the Prairie, just never paid it much attention, because I didn't care for it's looks. The BF650 looks tough, though. Right now the decision for me is down to two: the BF650 and the KQ700. I'm leaning toward the BF. Any thoughts? I've been able to test ride a KQ briefly at a dealership, but never even seen/heard a V-Twin running. Wonder how tough the V-Twin is and how well it handles/rides compared to some of the other top quads.

Hawk,
Look at it this way. I have a P650 right now and am looking to get a BF650. I love my quad and am plenty happy to keep it, but if I can get the 0% until 2006 I want to trade it in. Unless you're looking for cadillac instead of chevy the BF650 will be great. I highly doubt you will be upset with your purchase. Go for it!!!!

Well you can't go wrong on the BF-650 it is a solid proven system and when you look at all those quad reviews they pretty much use the prarrie design to compare others to. I watched that ATV show this weekend and they tested the BF-750 liked it but at the end of the show they talked about how to make it handle more like the prarrie. The 650 is a good buy Susuki's 500 Vinson costs almost as much. You are way ahead if you can sell your old quad to a private party instead of trading it in you will get allot more typically over 1000.00 more. You can look the value up on Kelly blue book it will give you trade in value and what you would expect to get for it selling it to a private party. I have a cammo 650 and love it.

CAridgerunner, you got any photos of your bike? I'd love to see what your BF looks like w/ the Maxxis BigHorns. How do you like 'em? Price?

GTChief,

Are you sure the 0% is for ATV's? Looks like to me the 0% is only for "off highway m/c and youth ATV's." The Kawi financing web page reads as follows:

"*ZERO 'til 2006 offer good on any new, not previously registered Kawasaki off-highway motorcycle and all youth ATVs [KFXÔ50 and KFX80]on your Kawasaki Good Times™ credit card, subject to credit approval. **6.99% APR Fixed Payments for 48 Months offer good on all new, not previously registered Kawasaki motorcycles, ATVs, JET SKI® watercraft and MULE™ utility vehicles on your Kawasaki Good Times™ credit card, subject to credit approval. Offers end 12/31/04. Restrictions may apply. See store for details. © 2004 Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A."

Who cares what the Prairie looks like, most people only see it from the rear, anyway.
