589's tear it up
#1
I just got my 27" 589's put on. So I went to try them out. I was going through a pond about to the bumper in water. These things just tear right through the mud. Id highly recomend these tires to anyone who wants something to go through the deep stuff. I have a picture of it but its to big and i dont know how to resize it. Il try and figure it out.

I love my ITP 589's on my B.F. They have a Excellent ride, do great on rocks and hard pack, and really perform good in mud. IMO they are the Best all around Tire out their.
Looking at reports they also perform as well in the Mud as the Mudzilla's and aren't to far behind the Outlaws. I think it would take some extreme mud for the Outlaws to beat the 589's.
I'm 100% pleased w/ mine... I just wish I had got 28" instead of 27's.... I also do wish they were 12" wide instead of 11".

any of you guys get any wobble above 40+ mph on your 589s....i got a slight wobble, doesn't get any worse as I go faster, but still wobbles some. Stock 26" tires on my Polaris are fine.....I took the tires/wheels down to the dealer, we put them on a spin balancer, spin like crap....out of round, every one of them. I can live with the slight wobble, just alittle annoying....
Big ole lugs on the 589s, awesome mud tires....not bad on the trail either....I have them mounted on ITP Type 5C wheels....also have Mud Lites, same setup....

I am curious about something. If you are just riding across normal ground, perhaps a little wet or something, how bad do they tear up the ground or trail? I really want an aggressive tire on my new ATV (probably a BF) but I don't want to make huge ruts or tear up the ground here on the farm. It is one thing to have a trail through the woods, it is another to have just one long muddy ditch. I've even considered getting ATRs but when I do get into heavy mud I don't know if they can handle it. I have a few creek crossings in particular that when wet will require a good mud tire. I've almost talked myself into getting a set of ATRs on the stock rims and getting a set of 589s on a set if ITP wheels and then switching them out when it gets wet. That would be a heck of a lot of work not to mention a wad of cash I'd rather not spend.

The ATR's would be good, or something like the Maxxis Bighorns, etc. would be a good all-around tire, etc.

I love my 589's!! Best damn mud tire out there in my opinion. I got the 25x12x10's on my V-Force and its a mud machine. I ran the Titan 25 inch mud tires in the mud bogs and got first in my class every time. This spring I am runnin my 589's and again I hope to get first in my class again. I barely have any air in mine, maybe 2 or 3 psi and they leave a big foot print. They do tear up the grass bad. Even when i'm turnin slowly at idle it tears it up. ITP makes the best tires in my opinion. Wheels kick *** too!

yea they are made for one basic reason. MUD. If your riding just on the trail i woudlnt worry about it to much but if you drive it though the yard the wife is gonna yell at you. They rip some soil.
