How deep is too deep?
#1
Where is the air intake located on the Prairie 700? If I traverse water up to the racks, will this be a problem? What about the belt housing? Is it waterproof? If not, how do you drain it if you go too deep?

Your clutch/cvt air exhaust is rear & below the back bottom part of your airfilter assembly. If you had it up to your racks you probably got water in your clutch. Remove all your bolts from CVT cover, drain, dry & clean your components.
The CVT air inlet is just at the bottom of your of your handlebar plastic, opposite your aircleaner intake

water up to the racks is no problem as long as you keep moving. water won't enter the cvt exhaust unless you are stopped. the bow wave will keep the water out of the intake as it is up high by the handle bar and water doesn't have direct access to it. to get water out of the cvt just rev up the engine in neutral for a while to blow the water out and dry off the belt. I have never had to remove my cover to dry it out yet.

I thought there was a little rubber plug at the bottom of the CVT cover? I think my V-Force has one. My buddy goes through water all the time with his P700 and never has a prob. Sometimes his atv is floating, hahaha. Thats a sight right there!
