Nyroc exhaust mod
#21
Did the 6 X 3/8 holes,works good.The one thing i did was make spark arrester inserts,The part you remove,I fabbed it into a 1 3/4" exhaust pipe and made a self contained insert.I also made a second one with a 1 1/2" inside diamentioned pipe.Now I can go wide open,partially muffled,or almost stock...works great!!!

Sorry Kawiyowee, you are right 3/8.My head was in the place were my ears stay warm.3/16 probably wouldnt do much.I might have noticed a little more gain than some of the others do to altitude and the stock jetting being way to rich. Malahatmaguiver, the spark arrester is actually down in the center of the pipe(the reason you can't see through it)the tip is just extra sound baffle.

Well, KP700, are you properly confused? I have been for over a year. Not all Prairies are born equal, some will wheelie, some won't, some have positive acceleration effect from nyroc mod, some don't. Sound difference probably varies according who's listening.
After reading conflicting results for over a year now, and after reading Travelor's bummer experience with this mod (thanks for the info), I'm going to leave mine stock.

Well, I have done everything except weld the end back on, but will do that today. I appreciate all the reply's/info! I decided I would go ahead and do it since there were more + then - . I have drilled 10, 1/4" holes, so I'll see how I like it. Thanks again.
