Default Bayou 220 won't run without choke on

I have a 2000 model Bayou 220 that only has about 30 hours of run time on it. When I stored it last winter I had run the gas out of the carb, and I have a storage shed that I keep it in. I took it out of the shed, charged up the battery, and then chanked it using hte choke. And it started right up as expected. After it runs awhile, and I try to take the choke off, it just dies. If I let it run on choke till it is plenty warm and then lower the choke setting just a little, the engine starts missing and if I give it any gas at all it dies. The engine will start right back up with the choke on, but dies if I give it any gas. I can't see how the carb could be the problem, since I ran it dry before storing .... but maybe.....Is there any way that the timing could have gotten screwed up?
Thanks for any advice in advance

What has happened is that the pilot jets is cloged with a piece of dirt or something. You will have to take the bottom of the carb off. Take one of the wires out of a wire brush and push that though the little hole in the pilot jet. Then spray some carb cleaner to finish the clean up. This is the only way that you can fix the problem. Next time use stabil in the gas and drain the carb. when you run it till it quits, there is still a very little amount of gas in the bottom of the float bowl. The gas then dries up and when you start it up it turns into dirt that will clog the pilot the jet.

Could also remove the pilot jet & soak it in some carb cleaner, blow it out with airhose & re install. Also clean your bowls while they are off. Spraying some carb cleaner through carb at 3/4 throttle won't hurt either. Check spark plugs and clean or replace.
