26" Tire Question for P650 or BF650

26" Tire Question for P650 or BF650
Is it true that if you want to install a 12" wide tire on the rear of a p650 or a BF650 you have add a wheel spacer? I'm ready to order my ITP Mudlites for the BF but don't wanna order a 12" for the rear if I have to buy a spacer?
