New plugs needed?
#1
I have 100 hrs and 500 miles on my P700 and due to my lack of service manual am wondering when to change my plugs. I have never even pulled the boots off of the stock ones. Can hotter (irridium) plugs help performance? My bike misses very slightly when cold but may be a jetting issue.

It's worth checking them, but Kawi has it listed as a yearly check and a 2 year replacement. If ya pull a plug and look at it, you'll be able to tell if there shot or not.
The miss you descibe is prolly jetting and richening the carb mixture via the pilot screw may cure this. Keep in mind too that when cold or when the air is very dry, an ocassional miss is pretty common. Many carbs are set lean from the factory to pass emmissions and all that crap.
