I am entering a cross country race series and it requires a tether switch, need to know the best kind and where they are hooked up.

The Pinkle is considered top of the line... most dealerships keep a few on hand... If you have the Dyna CDI, they recommend a different type than normal ( I don't remember if it's normally open or normally closed )... when you purchase one, I think the normally closed ones go on the grey wire on the ignition switch, & the normally open ones go on the on / off switch on the handlebars ( at least thats where I mounted mine )... I've had both styles, but it's been a while since I did the last install, so I'm not positive of the specifics...

 

you dont need no stinking tether kill switch on a utility, HAHA, I finally got mine working right !
