Default burning oil

i changed the oil on my kawasaki lakota sport about a week ago and put in 2 quarts of synthetic 10w40 oil. I checked the level today before i went to start it up and the oil glass shows that its empty. Im not shure if it was like this before about a week ago because i had a bad oil leak and thats where i thought all of my oil was going but now thats fixed. It smokes quite a bit of greyishblack smoke when i first start it and some times when i shift up. anyone know how to fix it and/or what the problem is?

you need new rings and gaskets for the top end

I would change the oil again to see if there is any oil in the quad at all. Then make sure that the bolt is completely on there so nothing can come out. I would also check the jets like we were saying in the PM's. Also if you do have your pipe yet mine smokes black to when i shift and then get on it again really hard. I would not yet mess around with the rings and top end yet because that a real big process. Just for now just change the oil again and take it from there.
