This should be fun... I fully expect to get beaten, but it'll be fun anyway...
Farley Iowa indoor 1/10th mile clay oval on Feb. 12th
suspension will be strapped to full compression, & I'll be running a set of Duro HF-224's ... 22" X 8.5" X 12" fronts, & 22" X 10.5" X 12" rears...
we'll have to see how ol' T-Rex likes the roundy rounds...

That should be fun! Do the utility quads have there own class? If so you should have the advantage with SRA. I know some guys use wider tires on the outside for more stability. I bet you do better than you think. If not who cares, you will still have fun doing it!

newbeatle - if you haven't tried this before, try to get some track time in first. We had an event that took place at a stock car track; in between the drag races and slaloms we decided to try the oval track. Scary!! I hit the first corner at 50mph and then realized that the machine didn't want to turn!! I hit the brakes in a panic and barely got slowed down enough to make the corner. Scared the crap out of me!! I didn't know what happened!! I then tried it more slowly to start; I found you had to really lean (as in your butt nearly off the seat) before I got into the corner, and try to get the back end to break loose.
I thought it might be just me; but then a guy on a Honda did exactly the same thing. He came into the pits as white as a ghost!! I asked him if he thought he would hit the wall - he asked me how I knew he was in trouble and I told him that it happened to me. One guy did bump into the wall - the exact same thing happened to him also.
Once we got the hang of it you could go as fast as you wanted, it was alot of fun.
