Default my 700p has electrical gremlens. help

hey all.
i was out on a ride tonight and i came to this hill that we always take but someone was in there in the last two days and they got stuck on this hill at the bottem and dug these hugh holes and there was water running through there also.
well i was part way down when i saw the great big ruts so i went to back up and it started to sputter so i let off the gas and pushed the override button and started to back up, i backed up about ten feet and hit the brakes to stop and thats when it happend.
every thing stoped so i went to start it up thinking it stalled.
but then i knew somthing was wrong because nothing worked no lights nothing.
so i tryed to pull start it and it started right up so i thought good it was nothing.
wrong.
i turned on the lights and the gauges and speedo were all going funny the speedo sped up like i was riding it down the road when i reved the motor in nutral.
and the lights were going dim and everything was flashing.
so i said lets go back, and on the way back it ran great but all the electrical is screwed up.
in the morning im going to go over all the connections and see if its that or maybe its a fuse.
im not sure but if i cant fix it i guess ill have to get it fixed under warrenty.
any sugestions on this would be great.
thanks.
ken.
