Hey guys i was reading your tip on checking the fuse when the dash flips between 2wd to 4wd this is happening to my cousins 04 700 prairie the dealer does not know whats going on i was wondering which fuse runs that

thats a trouble code the dealer is supposed to read, what idiots if they didnt know that lol. mine did that when the actuator control module went bad.

 

Thanks we have 3 dealers within 2 hours drive around here they are all the same i think they are just sending his bike back and forth for the warranty labour we have 3 year kawi warrranty up here so hopefully we can get an honest one before the warranty runs out lol

 

I should give the dealer a little defense whenever my cousin took his buggy up to the dealer the problem was not happening but soon as he got it back home and went for a ride it would start again dont know if the problem has to be occuring in order to test the actuator or not they will not order one in until they are sure that is the problem

 

same with my dealer, first ordered the actuator motor which wasnt the problem. they then ordered the ECM after I swapped one off another Brute Force to test it. if you have access to another Prairie, swap out the ECM, then you'll know. that thing flashes several different ways and each means something to the dealer. I think it does have to be doing it at the time, dont think it stores a code.

hi all... i have been having the same problem with mine.. that started today it would blink back and forth 2wd to 4wd...but when i turn the key off and start driving again it would be fine. staying in the right mode... so dunno whats up with that.hope its not that actuator, i heard they cost alot ???

 

Hey stillahondafan i dont know where you are in nova scotia but if you are not too far from sussex, NB,sleds and treads is supposed to be good i hear he doesnt take any bs from kawi and gets things fixed if you have a 700 then you should have the three year warranty and it is covered for the actuator let me kno if you need a phone number thats where my cousin is taking his it is a long haul but at least he has good reviews unlike the three around here

 

it does come and go, I wasn't aware my 4wd wasn't working until I tried to pull up on a trailer without ramps, I put the front wheels against it and the backs just spun, I couldnt get on the trailer. then I saw it was flashing. other times it worked just fine, and would eventually go into 4wd if drove it long enough. they are about $200 if you have to buy it. mine was warranty.

 

thanks for the info...hillbillymuddemon... im down in the yarmouth area....i have 02 cameo 650...which i also have the 3 year warranty...so the warranty will cover this i take it?...how long should i wait till fix it? till it totaly goes... cause it does still goes in and out.... but just flashes... thxs all
