start by unbolting the headpipe and work your way back and make shure you get a new crunch gasket, its a copper gasket inside the cylinder head that makes a seal ao their is no leak(pritty shure the kfx has one) and dont crank down the head pipe all they way untill you get the mufflers aligned with it and clamped togather

Put a little Copper-Seal on the exhaust gaskets,so you will not have a leak. You will have to shim the stock needles in the carbs to get the mid power .The jetting will depend on what air-box mods you have.

If I remember correct I pulled the battery box for easier access to the rear header. Other than that just bolt it up but not snug, get it aligned and snug it down. Pay extra attention to the oil dipstick and keep the clearance so that you can remove same without fitment issues.

nice results from the muzzy? I have no other mods except for a K&N air filter. and run at about 5-9k ft
the guy at pipecity *who by the way are great folks over there!* says it sounds like a small block chevy

I put my Muzzy exhaust on in about 20 minutes. You don't need to remove anything except the old exhaust. Just get a couple long extensions and go in from the back of the quad to get the rear bolts. I didn't put any kind of additional gaskets or sealer on anything and it s been fine for almost a year now.

and ideas on jetting? I just have the pipe and a K&N on there now
and I ride at 5-9k ft

I heard the Muzzy systems are awesome. You got the yrs of experience from Muzzy in makin in my opinion the best exhaust parts out there, especially since they work exclusively with Kawasaki in their development. Rob Muzzy has worked with Kawi for yrs. Look at how many championships Kawi has won on the Ninja sport bikes. A TON!!! Don't know much about the Muzzy's on the atv's or dirtbikes but I do know some on the sport bikes. They sound bad *** and look awesome. Very light too. I got a Muzzy canister on my 01 ZX-6R and I love it. I only buy Muzzy. Too bad they don't make a dual kit for the 700. Might have to get one of them if they came out with one.
