Sounds like your friend needs to find a Knowledgeable dealer aware that there has been factory recalls/tech bullitines on the tie rods, loose bolts, and front carb needle. All defective parts should have been replaced by now UNDER WARRANTY.

The stock tie rods just don’t cut it. Friend has brute with bending rods. Do a search and find the steel ones. He replaced his and no more problem. He has 28” outlaws on his and that extra tire wait doesn’t help.

DG Holeshot
DG Snorkel
K&N Filter
Dial-A-Jet-(GONE)
Supertrapp IDSX exhaust
Primary Dalton Plain\white spring
Secondary EPI black spring
Dayco belt (coming out soon)
P-700 Belt
28” Mudlites on C's
Odyssey 925 Dry cell battery
Warn 4000 winch on front
Warn 2500 winch on back
Headlight mod
Back-up lights

He needs The DG Tie rods.

You will not bend them. Soild steel and very thick.

As for the fan. It could just be a bad relay. Shouldn't be hard for the dealer to fix.

Let me guess, The others problems include a miss and water in the airbox... right?

Their is carb update from Kawi that will replace the front needle. The dealer will do it free of charge. That will take care of the low speed miss.

As for the airbox.... it has no protection to keep water from getting at it. A snorkel or some homemade splash guards will work. A snorkel is easy to do and will provide the engine w/ more air.

Overall, these are very minor problems and the Brute is an excellent machine otherwise.

Along w/ the Tie Rods, you may also want to look into some better ends. Ends that fit a 400EX will work w/ the Brute. ALL *****, Tusk, Quadboss etc...... Just look online for 400EX ends. Rocky mountain ATV carries ALL *****. You can also use OEM Honda ends but they are pricy. I'm about to use some Heim ends.
