Default 03 Prairie 650 clutch for 27" tires

I am buying a 03 p650 with 76 miles on it, it has 27" dirt devil tires on it, do I have to worry about adjusting the clutch for the bigger tires?

Night and day performance difference between the 25" and 27" Tires both on the street and in deep mud. Each tire has its application/merits

Ask the guy/gal you're buying it from if it already has aftermarket Clutch Kit & what springs. I'd definately check the belt for proper deflection, condition, & wear. You can smoke a belt quickly in Mud especially when you're pulling your buddies out in High gear.

Most members switch out the Primary and secondary springs to prolong belt life and get better performance. A good choice IMO for the 27" tires would be the EPI Black Secondary and the EPI Red Primary or similar setup in Dalton Springs. The Black spring gives you more belt grip and the red will increase your stall/torque to turn those big tires better.

You can also call Dalton Industries (Helix on this forum) or Ritter Cycle. Both are very Knowledgeable on clutches & springs

The guy I am buying it from does not know much, he had the dealer install the tires and progresive springs when it was new. He does not think the dealer would have touched the clutch. it only has 76 miles so i would hope the clutch and belt are in good shape.

Put a Dyna Ignition or go the DG5 & Flywheel key route and you'll have all the power you'll ever need for play & trails. Notice I did say NEED: WANT, on the otherhand, is another story For the WANTS, you got porting, clutch milling. CAMS, & Big Bore kits.

Speed Costs, How Fast do you want to Go??
