Default v-twin cams worth it?

FWIW,
I installed (used) V-force cams into my P650 last summer and am pleased with the results. I noticed it revs up a little quicker and has a slight improvement in mid-range/upper rpm acceleration. However, I found no top-speed improvement at all. I would have to say that it was still worth the money and time to do this mod b/c I bought these v-force cams used from Mickey D for a very reasonable price. I don't think its worth the price of new V-force cams tho.

One thing to keep in mind, if you go with aftermarket cams...its a good idea to get an aftermarket exhaust to get the most from the aftermarket cams extra lift and duration. I still have the stock pipe (Nyroc modded), so I was not really interested in aftermarket cams.

Happy trails...

I think I would have bought the web cams if I knew they had more lift.

Im pretty certain the web cams has the same lift/duration as the penland. (some say the are the same thing with different names aand prices) although both of them have a little more lift/duration than hot cams.

Bought my cams from Penland, but it was his new cams that are cheaper and not needing a core change. Sounds like he has a new deal with hot cams. Dissapointing it wasn't as good as web. Bike runs real well anyway.

How much did the dealer charge to install the cams, did it affect your warranty?
