HMF

You are talking about the BF750 right? If you're talking about the BF650 then the Prairie 650 pipe will fit it.

If you can find any proof of the gains claimed by the exhaust after-market companies, I will be pleasantly surprised. This is just for the Prairies and BF's now. I had one guy tell me 5-7 hp gain just by installing a legal muffler system on a Prairie. No way do I believe that.

Some of the guys say they feel more power. It shouldn't be our problem as customers to try to quantify what these expensive add-ons give to you. In other words, I do not believe what we are being told regarding hp gains on Prairies.

I challenge any muffler brand to post independent tests of 4-7hp (or whatever) gains on Prairies. If they could show proof, and stand behind their product to perform as advertised, they would not be able to keep up with the demand. I got a hunch that is not going to happen though.

BruteForce: As you can see, I am fed up with these b/s muffler companies.

It should be easy enough for someone with access to a dyno. I think aftermarket exhaust manufacturers probably do inflate their power gains. Some people automatically think noise equals power. It is hard not to think that mean growl means power. Pretty darn convincing. Even if they do produce power I don't think the noise is worth the power gains. Yeah it may give you 2 mph on the top end but if it annoys everyone and gets a trail closed was it worth it? Nothing annoys landowners and other folks using trails and public lands than have to listen to noisy ATVs. It is the kind of thing that gets trails closed. When I get my BF I'm going to put one of those silent exhausts on it to get it as quiet as possible.
