Tire diameter and a 4x4
#1
gonna be gettin' a Bayou 4x4 soon, and was also checkin' out tires. I settled on the Calisle All Trails. Thing is, monted- the rear tires are 1/2 in. shorter than the fronts. The differing diameters have me a little concerned. Also- does anyone know the bolt corcle of the Bayou 300? Thanks

I know alot of people with prairie 400s change the wheels to the 12in off a prairie 650 for bigger selection of tires and the lighter aluminum wheels. I "think" the prairie and bayou have the same lug pattern. Im not certain though.

kwackermann,
I bought the All Trails for Ice Racing this year. 25.10.12 R and 25.8.12 F. I found out that they were only 24" high even though they were labled as 25" tires. They studded up fine and handle very well. My acceleration off the line was great, but I lost about 5 MPH on the top end due to the limited tire diameter. You can probably adjust the O.D. by using more or less pressure. The tires have excellent lateral grip and the sidewalls do not flex much at all, unlike the factory "Dunflops".

Sounds familiar, Ed. On my old Tri- Moto I got Buckshot Mudders and had them studded, too. The All trails were the closes I could find in the required size for that type of tread/ tire
