pink spring...sucks

Just my 2 cents...After all my research the pink spring seemed to be a good investment but to be quite honest I am extremely disappointed.
I have 26" mudlights on my P700. With my stock spring my top end was 57mph. With the pink spring it does pull a little harder through the mid range but my top speed is only 43 mph (My 250 bayou will do 43...) I will admit it wheelies much better but thats the only advantage I see with this spring. There seem to be those who love the pink spring as for me I pullin it out.

Hey you should be going alot faster than 57mph anyway.Something besides the spring is holding you back. I have a p700 and my top speed is 67mph. Something else is not right. I also weigh 310 so unless you weigh 500 you have serious problems.

Most people I know running the pink spring are using them on the Vforce. Most prairies run red,blue,orange/blue, plain white, and the 700 stocker. If you dont have many other mods like a CDI 57 sounds about right with those 26in mudlites (they will read low on the speedo anyway). A little faster with stockers.

Thanks for the input...
With the stock tires i have reached 64mph on a flat straight road. I don't know many P700s tha can do much better (I have heard it may be due to the altitude) With the 26" mudlites
I'm lucky it to hit 60on a slight decline.

revilo,
I live in UT as well, and 64 mph from a stock Prairie 700 is totally normal at this altitude. So 57 mph would be reasonable for a stock Prairie with 26" tires. With an aftermarket exhaust and airbox snorkel you can get back up to 64 mph with 26" tires, at least I did with 26" Holeshot ATRs when my Prairie 700 was still a 700.
I agree with you that the pink spring sucks though, but only because it doesn't do enough to improve performance because it is too wimpy of a spring. But I don't think the pink spring would drop your top speed from 57 to 43 mph, because it should only drop top speed by 2 to 3 mph at the most. You may want to look into other potential problems, such as jetting, air filter, CDI, etc. Good luck.

TG800...where in Utah?
I'm going to go through it tomorrow and see if I can figure out what's going on. I am headed to San Raphel this weekend with a bunch of yamahas, polaris's and artic cats and I don't want to be lagging behind
