Default Best way to crate a V-twin Motor???

I pulled the motor from my 2003 P650 last night b/c I'm about to part out this quad...man, that v-twin motor is HEAVY!!! Anyway, I was wondering what is the best way/easiest way for me to build a crate so I can ship the motor to the buyer after I sell it?

Also, how much do you guys think it will cost me to ship the motor inside the lower 48 states?

Happy trails...

Ballpeen,
Not sure on the carbs fitting a v-force...I'll compare the p/ns on the Kaw. website and ask around to see what I can find out. New P650 carbs cost $709...I'll be willing to let mine go for much less. Send me a PM and we can talk further.

DaRiot,
I'm parting out my 2003 P650 b/c I blew out my front diff in the Maxxis 6 Hours of TX race last month (we hit some MX jumps while driving in 4wd...this is something I wish to avoid in the future). I estimate a minimum of $1200 to $1300 to repair the damage (some of this cost includes labor). As much as I love my 2003 P650, I can't justify spending that kind of $$ on a 2 year old quad. So I plan to part it out instead. I recently bought a 2002 P650 with low miles for cheap and need the $$ from parting out my 2003 P650 to recoup the purchase price of the 2002 Prairie.

Happy trails...
