Instaed of removing the carb heater completely, because I live in NH and ride in the winter a lot, could you put a valve in line one the hose for the carb heater coolant?. I want to try it but I dont know where to install it, the easiest place would be on the small hose going into the top of the water pump, or is that the return. I would think I would want to put it on the feed line going to the carbs as opposed to the return line.

If anyone has some experience with the coolant routing please let me know.
