No sense in arguing about it. If you don't mind taking the chance in blowing off stickers or pushing sand or mud into wheelbearings go ahead. But if you don't mind a little work and don't want to spend the extra money on stickers and bearings, like I had to, then hand wash it. Plus in my opinion it will look better longer especially with armorall and it will make you appreciate it a little more.

Default power washing question on bf750

I would spray various types of products on the undercarriage of my truck and ATV BEFORE I would go mudding to help make cleanup easier. I ended up using a type of silicone spray. For the life of me I can't remember the brand at the moment but it came in a yellow and red can.

Some guys used vegetable oil spray (generic "pam") or WD-40 but I was always seemed to have the best luck using the silicone spray. The others seemed to attract dust but the silicone spray didn't as bad. I did make clean up much easier.

I normally used the garden hose on the ATV but did sometimes use the power washer but did so very very carefully. The truck I pretty much had to use the powerwasher. When you have 20+ pounds of mud caked in each wheelwell the garden hose just isn't practical.

I think to pressure wash is OK as long as there isn't too much pressure. I think 1400 psi or so is just fine. As for the stickers...who cares? I hate the friggin' things!

Nothing like 3000psi of boiling water to make things look better! You know you are too close when you spray the tires and they start to expand.

Amen I do feel better when I know I did a good job on cleaning ,And didnt take a chance on ruinning bearings and such,Just taking them through the deep mud puts them bearings through enough wear, and lets face it who really dismantles and lubes thier bearings, I know we should, but that hardly ever gets done til they need replacing. Thanks for the plug FASTFATBOY.

Thats what I use and it seems to clean up much easier , I know that there is some kind of silicone spray out there but cant remem. the name either, it is supposed to over use imbed it self in the plastic and become mud resistant.
