Default Something is wrong PLEASE HELP

Everyting I have done to my bike is listed below but, I have a friend who has a 700p that is bone stock except for a highlifter holeshot module. The problem is my friend continually out drags me. My bike is jetted right it has a medium charcol color in the back of the pipe. The belt deflection is right at 1". I think some of the problem may be the rotating mass of the holeshots and c series wheels. I know me weighing 140lbs more than him has ALOT to do with it buy I think I should still beat him. Another friend who only weights about 20 pounds more than my other buddy got on mine and still got beat but it was VERY close. After seeing that I just felt like saying WTF. I know the wheels and tires are alot heavier than stock but I don't know if it will make that big of a difference. My top speed is around 67-69 his just gets there faster. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP BECAUSE I'M LOST ON WHAT TO DO NEXT.

Rotational mass is a big deal with CVT clutchs. Stock tires/rims are very hard to beat if you were to have the stock rims/tires on your machine then there would be no match. Oh one more thing I have said this many times but Dyno jet needle kits are not worth the money they do not produce the same volume as the OEM stock jets that came with your machine. Just for the fun of it install your old jets and see the difference!! I also don't believ you need the stage 4 fuel I use premium in my modded 700 with no problems what so ever. Also it wouldn't to have your cams timed, retarded as V - Force cams timed or just install V Hot cams. I think you need a little tuning to bring up your hot rod that is about it.

How much does your friend weigh & what size are your tires? Only way to overcome weight is to add more HP (Dyno/fine tune, porting, bigger cams, HI comp pistons, and or Big bore Kit) or shed weight. May try adding more air and fuel (Modify airbox; Napa hose & bigger keihin jets). If you are having problems keeping it down on the launch may try the Dalton Orange/Blue Primary.

Race him with your stock tires/wheels and to rule out whether its your bike, swap bikes & race him on his bike. If your friend has same near the mods as you, and you are spotting him 140lbs you are suppose to lose.

Thanks alltoys. I'm currently on the hunt for some stock wheels, I let my buddy have mine in a tire trade we did, but that's another story. Why in the hell would dynojet make their needles with a less agressive fuel curve than stock thats just my luck another waste of time and money. As for ultimate 4, I was thinking of using what I had left then using pump gas however it does make a small difference and will make your bike rev quicker. I didn't install the cams myself but the guy who did said he went by the directions and I do notice they help it rev on out on top end.
Tuff, my friend weights around 160 and I weight 300. We have swapped bikes and with him on mine he beats me very badly from start to finish. I have modded my airbox with 8 one inch holes in the lid and also cut out the little air dam where the inlet enters the airbox. We both have problems keeping them down but mine is alot worse than his. I'm gonna find some stock wheels, still have the tires, and see what happens. When I get back to work I'm gonna try some high compression pistons and get some head work done. If that don't work there will be a 700 prairie for sale probably because of a divorce. My wife calls it the money pit.

FAST,
If you are intent on more power the Kawi V twin will give more ooomph than a single cylinder or equal CC's. You could send your motor to Fundy Power Sports to save on shipping on such. I like the idea of wiseco pistons as it does not get into boring the sleaves and produces as much power as a 785 BB kit. Ray does a good job of tuning along with head porting. Also a good break in can develop more HP as well. A good Dyno break in can develop 8 HP alone no bull. I top off at 265# with my quad and 27inch Outlaws I can beat a 120# racer on a piped jetted 450 YFZ quad with no problem. I race a friend of mine that has an 800 kit depending on who gets the hole shot that person wins. In another couple of years I will bore mine out install a 730 piston and Fundys Cams that should give another 5 feet in a 300 foot race.
