I received my new CDI yesterday. Installation is ridiculously easy; I think it took me longer to get the seat off. After installation I started it up, let the bike warm up while I went to get my helmet. The idle seemed a bit higher (no choke). Started off to the trail, bike was running super smooth. Once on the tower line I cracked the throttle. Holy s**t!!! I can't believe that this one mod made such a difference. The bike pulled very hard throughout the power band. Totally awesome. I rode about 4-5mi on and off the gas. Putted around to get the fan to come on. No issues at all. Very happy with it. I will let all of you know how it holds up over time.

That was my observation as well. To compensate I cranked my idle adjustment down so it sounded normal. The Dynatek CDI advances the timing, raises the rev limiter, eliminates the reverse rev limiter (don't need to use the override button anymore) and eliminates the "limp mode" rev limiting feature.
I had a friend with a Prairie 650 go into "limp mode" on the trail one day, so I let him borrow my Dyna CDI (I was carrying my stock CDI with me just in case) and he was able to make it the several miles back to the trailhead under normal power (he has since installed the "black spring" and adjusted the tension of his belt)...

I Just got my second CDI last night, first one was running on one cylinder out of the box, I am amazed at the power increase, it feals like a different machine. When I am on the road I have to flutter the throttle or I will end up on my back, it revs quicker all the way up the powerband. I only put a couple of miles around my house on it, but I am going to be ridding some Polaris guys (one 700) this weekend, I look forward showing these guys what a Kawasaki can do.
