progressive or elka springs help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ive got an 04 twin peaks which is just a praire. my question is which spring set up will give me the best ride . my current problem is how much the frt end dives in corners and when playing in uneven terrain ive almost tipped it over a few times because the frt end compresses so easy. tell me which way to go price is not all that big of a deal to me ive already got alot of $ invested in it with all my bolt ons.

The Elkas are two pairs of springs, one for easy ridin', the other for sharp or heavy loads.
Progressive springs have a constant spring rate and are not really progressive at all....just the more you squeeze them, the harder they push back, just like any other symmetrical spring. The word progressive suggests they have a non-linear spring rate....as far as I know, that is just not true.
I have the Elkas and really like them.....I've yet to hear anything serious wrong with them.

I have Progresive springs on my 03 Prairie 650, the best thing about them is they give infinite adjustment on preload. They were already installed on my quad when I bought it, the guy I bought it from weighed about 280 and the springs were jacked way up, I took about 5/8" out of the preload, now they are a little soft. They seem to work really well, from NYROC's web site you better 1 or 2 buddies to help you change them.
