More Stories and Questions
Well I have had the BF 750 for about 2 weeks. The first day I went out I had no high, I would get about 4 meters and it would kick out. By the end of the day riding in low gear and shifting in revrse, putting it in neutral it would grind. As well as bending a tie rod I wasn't having any fun lol. I took it into the dealer thinking it was just the linkage, NOT. They advised me that a C-clip fell off and the high gear and bearings were walking around the shaft. So they tosplit the case in half. The motor was about half broke in 5-6hrs and 84km.
Question #1 By splitting the case and removing the cylinders and just putting it back together, damage the piston rings and cylinder?
#2 Does anyoneknow where to get better tie rods?

B,B,B,
Question one - No but it wouldn't hurt to ask if they will hone the cylinder sleave and install new rings! You will have to break in your engine again though.
Question two - It is faster less expensive to have a machine shop make up some new ones with thicker shafting tapered 45* to the treaded ends. There is a private fellow in the US making them but the time you pay duty taxes and such it is easier and half the price to have them made for you.
