I am not sure about the brute but on my p the 2nd plug is hidden behind the cvt..... gotta take off the rubber boot that is connected to the cvt cover. Plug is directly behind it..... heres a tip for ya break the plug loose with the spark plug wrench provided in your tool kit and then stick a piece of hose on the plug and twist it out. If you have big hands like me, checking and changeing plugs can sometimes be a pain in the @#$%. By using a piece of hose you can easily slip it over the plug and spin it out.

Hope that helps.

2003650 has a good idea on getting the rear plug out of the BF750, next time I change mine, I will give it a try.
Yes, the side panel plastic must be removed, along with the front collar section & the Key. Also you must take the rubber CVT connector off, shove a clean rag into the opening so you don't drop any tools down into the belt drive pulleys.

The Shifter Linkage Does Not Have To Be Removed.

Pop-off the spark plug cap.
Use a deep-well socket, swivel connector & extension & rachet, loosen the plug about 1/2 the way out & then try 2003650 hose idea to get the plug out the rest of the way. That rear plug really sits low into the rear side section of the cylinder, so I am not sure if the hose Idea will work but it is worth a try. If the hose doesn't work, then just leave the deep-well socket on & the swivel & a shorter extension & turn out the plug. At least the new plug goes in easier. Be sure to check your spark plug cap when you reinstall the new plug by starting the BF before you put the side Plastic panel back on & both cylinders are firing.
The procedure above is the way it is describe in the "Service Repair Manual". I have done it this way, just takes a bit of time to get the rear plug out.
