Default Brute popping out of gear, shift linkage?

My brute is popping out of gear if I work it hard in low range. I couldn't make it pop out while in high range. i believe its my shift linkage thats causing the problem, I hope. Its a real pain in the butt to adjust so I only want to do it once or twice.

Which way should I adjust the linkage? It only does it in low but not in high. I guess i could try it one way and see if it gets worse. The trick is I won't really know if it worked until I rode it hard again. So if someone can tell me which way I should adjust it that would be great!!!

In my expericence, the shift linkage has become too short and needs to be longer. Turn adjustment nut about 2~3 turns at a time. To test, put it in Lo gear, ride fast and let it coast. See if it makes any grinding noise or popping out of gear. Also, make sure the engine mount bolt/nut is tight at all corners.
Good Luck.

So I would need to move the linkage forward? Like the shifter should move forward some? I'll talk with my dealer too and see what they have to say. If I can get all my mods done in time I might just drop it off with them.

The shift tierod needs to be "lengthened" to compensate for the flex/twist/settling of the frame in relation to the motor. I would say yes to your question but I'm not 100% clear what you mean by that. You have 50/50 chance. Go for it.
Good Luck.

Lengthened, that must mean moving the rod forwards (towards front of quad) or backwards (towards the back of quad.) I'm just trying to figure out which way I should go from what information I provided. I don't know if an answer can be given with the information I provided.

Default Brute popping out of gear, shift linkage?

I'm actually looking at doing the same thing with my brute. It's got about 190 miles on it and all of a sudden it seemed to want to pop out of high gear and into neutral. I've also noticed that the Reverse light doesn't come on anymore.
I've taken off all the plastic and can see the shift linkage rod.
Does anyone know if I need to adjust the front nut or the rear nut?

You need to loosen both nuts to adjust the linkage and check the motor mounts. Nyroc's website should have all the information on how to adjust the linkage. If you don't know about Nyroc's website, google Nyroc and it comes right up.
