I just put Bighorns on my BF 750 and it made a huge difference in the way they climb and they way they go through mud!! I'm not familiar with the other brand so I really can't speak to them. In terms of the drive and handling it's still the same as stock tires.
Hope that helps.

I just put the 27" Radial mudlites (on 14" wheels) on my BF750. It's a huge improvment over stock. Steering responce is way better and it feels much more stable durring high speed cornering. Bighorns were the other tire I was looking at, I'm sure they would be a lot better than stock but don't know how they would compare to the XTR's. I would assume the XTR's weigh a little bit more but don't know how much.

I have the 25 inch mudlites. they are an awesome all around tire. they have almost 2000 miles on them and lots of tread left, even with lots of blacktop riding. stay with the stock size the bike is peppier and the tires are cheaper and not as hard on cv joints and tie rods. I'm coming up to williston to go paddlefishing, any good catches up there yet this year. where should I go riding when I go up there. please post tonight. I'm off work in 1 hour and won't be around a computer after that to check your response. If you want to do some good riding come down to bismarck and ride with me.

Dakota prarie, Not sure on the fishing. Are you going by the confluence? Not very good riding around here. You can ride but nothing great. Would like to ride the desert over there. Good luck fishing. Keep in touch. travelor@nemontel.net Ken
