Tried to ship my extra P650 frame today to the person who bought it on ebay yesterday...UPS and FedEx both REFUSED to ship it b/c of its large size (its too big even without a box around it).
Can someone please tell me how I can ship this frame at a reasonable cost??? I'm pretty sure it would be way too expensive to crate it up and ship it via freight truck. I wonder if Greyhound busses will ship a frame this big? Any ideas???

Mikey: Bruiser here, I used to work for U.P.S and they have a weight and size limit ( I think 75lbs and 4' in length)
I think this is Bunk man but that's their rules. Unfortunately I think your going to have to ship it truck freight. I'd
just pass the cost onto the person who's going to buy.In my area we have a company called RAC who ships that
U.P.S & FEDex won't. I'm sure if you look in your yellow pages there's probably a company like that in your area.
Good Luck Man!

Thanx for all the great info guys!! I found out that Greyhound should be able to ship it for a reasonable price...their weight/size limits are 100lbs and 30" x 47" x 82" and my frame (in bubble wrap) is only 24" x 24" x 70". not sure how much it weighs, but I'm guessing its under 100lbs (hopefully). If this don't work out, then I'll reconsider crating it up and shipping it via freight as suggested above.

Con-way will ship it uncrated. Roadway or Yellow probably will too, but Con-way is a bit more $$$. I used to drive for them. They have a very good system of quickly shipping and handling freight. Most stuff arrives damage free, but no one is perfect in the shipping industry. I used to pick up farm tractors and ATV's uncrated. They leave us the key and we'd ride them in & lock 'em down for the ride. They have a pretty good record for not damaging freight, and getting there on time--that's what your paying for.
