Does anyone ever go look at the other message boards? I was skimming through the Polaris board and one guy says that Polaris better make a better machine to keep up with the new King Quad because 7 magazines rated it the best. Then all these guys jump on his case and say that he's probably never ridden a sportsman. The replies were mostly "Polaris rules" and "Suzuki is junk". Do these guys really think that a sportsman is the best machine out there? I know they ride smooth, but I wouldn't be caught dead on a 750 lb unreliable machine like that. Especially when Kawi's 700 and 750 will beat a 800!

My motto is "If you are happy with it, keep it & ride it. It's your cash & your decision." Besides, if everyone owned Kawis, we'd have to roost mud on other Kawis. Enjoy the sport and camaraderie

Hey MNKAWI,
Ya Polaris is not as tough as some of the competition, but Kawi is not far behind especially with that silly clutch and belt. They are always having problems and have a hard time getting 2000 km's out of a belt with out adjustments or springs or shims. Come on, I know 1 guy with a kawi and another with a AC 650 and the belts squeal and dont' last. On the other hand, Yamaha has most of there machines go 10-15000 km's without any problems with belts and you don't add shims and springs and more money into a quad you just baught. They need to start adding the Ultramatic Clutch instead of the crap they have now. The one thing the Kawi has that NO one can deny is the TOP motor.

Another thing pull a 1200lb load 50-60 miles with a stalk Kawi and then talk, you'll see about blowing belts if you get to do it as it might put you into Limp mode. I demand toughness out of a machine and clearly have seen a very weak tranny system in these compared to some of the competition. Being stranded or pulled home is NOT and option for me. Not when I spend 10K plus tax Canadian for a machine.

I have a 2004 kawie 700 prairie with 1400 miles and have never had any problem with the clutch or belt. And my new kawie BF750 has 110 miles and no problems either. My thought is ride what you like and don't bash others. How can someone bash another quad when they don't even own that brand anyway? The only true objective view that anyone can have is if they have owned every mfg's quads and have ridden them on the same terrian and the same mileage....etc. So you se......enjoy what you buy and learn from others who are OBJECTIVE....NOT SUBJECTIVE. Do I like polaris, suzuki, yamaha, honda, artic cat....etc......YES. But, FOR ME, I ride kawies because they do what I want them to do and what I like. That doesn't mean the others are junk........So the bottom line in my book is..........................
.................IF YOU BASH, THEN YOU MUST BE TRASH!!! And....BTW....this coming fall I am planning on adding a polaris 800efi to my collection and still keep my BF750 and prairie700. I can do this because 1) I have the money to and 2) it is my choice.

Geez, you don't have to take out your frustrations on me. I owned a Polaris for 5 years so I have every right to state my point. I agree that all quads are different and everyone has their own riding style. I was just pointing out a simple fact about another board. I know a girl that was seriously injured due to a poor design (in my opinion) by polaris. Maybe I'm just holding a grudge about that. To each his own.

heres the thing, I replied to that forum in polaris cause my uncle has the sportsman and i like riding it, however i have the praire and love it bc i can throw it around, thats what i like and i got it for a steal, anyways that person who posted that forum in the polaris forum about the KQ, was just asking for trouble, I mean its like going in a redneck bar and ******* rednecks, more than likely you'll get your a$$ beat. Basically everyone has their own preference and to each there own is the way i look at it, but do not deliberately go somewhere and speak your mind. If you do, expect the reprocutions!
